BEST ARCHITECTURE COMPETITION

It is a contest made by students, for students of Politecnico di Torino. This is a completely free one-day event. BAC is an opportunity to improve your teamwork skills and to meet new people with whom to share ideas in order to deal with an innovative topic. The competition will take place over a day, when the participants, working in groups of 3, are invited to develop their project ideas related to a specific theme, which will be announced at the beginning of the competition.

How does it work?

WHO

If you are enrolled in an engineering, architecture, design or urban planning course, you can apply in a team of a maximum 3 members. If you are alone but would like to spend the day in a different way, you can apply individually and a team will be automatically assigned to you.

WHERE

The competition will take place on Saturday 16 March at Politecnico di Torino. The Official Opening will be held in Aula Magna and for the rest of the day you will stay at the Classrooms 27-27b-29-29b of the Main Campus.

HOW

You have until Wednesday, March 13th, to register, and until Thursday, March 14th, to pay the 10 Euro deposit. The deposit will be refunded to you at the end of the competition. The Official Opening will begin at 9:00 on Saturday 16 March, followed by the presentation of the topic. An aperitif will be held at the end of the day to reward the participants for their work. Even though the event takes place in a single day, you will have time until 23:00 on Sunday 17 March to deliver your project.

GUESTS

There will be breaks, at predefined times of the day, when experts and professors will give their suggestions regarding the topic. There will also be an art exhibition where local artists will exhibit their paintings.

Is there a participation fee?

No, the event is totally free.
How many people make up a team?

Each team consists of 3 members.
Can I apply with my friends?

In the apply form you can write down your friends' student ID in "preferences". In any case, they must do the same.
I don't have a team, can I apply?

Yes, you can apply yourself and the system will assign you a team automatically.
How can I apply?
To participate in BAC, you should follow two simple steps:
1. Sign up using the dedicated section on this site.
2. Confirm your attendance at the event: for this purpose, we ask you for a €10 deposit that you can pay at BEST Torino office at Politecnico di Torino. The deposit will be returned to you after the event.
How long does the competition last?

The event will take place on Saturday 16 March in a single day, but you will have until 23:00 on Sunday 17 March to hand in your projects.
